Becoming Houdini
Becoming Houdini
For generations, Harry Houdini’s escapes have astounded audiences. From handcuffs to straitjackets, there seemed to be no method of restraint that could defeat the legendary escape artist. Some have said that even death itself was no match for Houdini's spirit.
In this game room, which is a tribute to the world’s most famous escape artist, you will find puzzles, clues, magical secrets, and some facts about Houdini you may not have known. You will witness some magic take place, and you may even perform some magic yourself.
Some say the spirit of Houdini embodies this very room. If you hear some inexplicable noises, or feel a slight breeze caress your cheek, decide for yourself whether it's your imagination, or if Houdini is trying to perform the ultimate escape.

This game is entirely low-tech. However, there are several opportunities to incorporate simple high tech effects (RFID and maglocks) if you wish to do so. Becoming Houdini has been written for TWO ROOMS of approximately 200 square feet each, and can not be reduced to a single room. You will need to determine how to conceal the door connecting the two rooms, if at all.
This game includes extended licenses for high resolution images (included) which you can use in your game room as puzzle clues at no extra cost. In addition, you will receive some video files of a performing magician. The videos are clues to puzzles in the game.
The Houdini game has garnered a lot of interest on our social media, etc. Our first room is "backstage" and our second room is "dressing room with a seance area." I'm probably biased, but I think they're looking pretty good. I think you have a real winner with some very clever puzzles.
